Patriotic Nissan fans can get the company’s new 250th Anniversary Edition for the 2026 Frontier pickup truck to commemorate the United States’ birthday.

The company is rolling out the specially decorated truck at its Canton, Mississippi, plant where it has assembled 1 million of the midsize pickups.

Nissan plans to produce 2,500 Frontiers with a subtle monochromatic Stars and Stripes design on the tailgate through the month of July. The additional design, which shows hints of the American flag in gray and black on the Frontier lettering, comes at no extra charge and is available exclusively for Pro-4X trims, including short and long wheelbases, Roush variants, and across the existing exterior color lineup, the company says.

"As we celebrate 1 million Frontiers assembled in Canton during America's 250th anniversary year, this special edition honors the workers, communities and enduring spirit that drive our industry and our country forward," said Christian Meunier, chairman of Nissan Americas.

Chevrolet has also added a patriotic flair to its pickups for the 250th celebration.

Nissan has assembled the Frontier in the U.S. since 1998. Its U.S. production began in Smyrna, Tennessee, and moved in 2012 to Canton where it employs more than 3,700 people. In all, the company says it has assembled more than 2 million Frontiers in the U.S.

Nissan’s Frontier also recently logged its best sales for the month of May since 2010, with 6,773 trucks sold. Overall sales for Nissan were up 24% for May, the company reports.
