Released late last year, Yanmar’s 24.4-horsepower ViO35-7 mini excavator delivers plenty of power in a 7,882-pound package for a variety of light construction, utility and landscaping tasks.
With its zero-tail-swing design and swing boom functionality, operators can maneuver in tight spaces and work closely to buildings. A three-pump, flow-sharing hydraulic system provides multi-function performance.
Equipment World got a closer look at the machine during a recent press event at the company’s Evo Center in Acworth, Georgia. Take a walkaround with Yanmar CE NA product manager Zac Evans in our video above.

The ViO35-7 can be tailored to suit buyer needs with a canopy or cab, optional second auxiliary circuit and a straight or angle blade.
The cab has been redesigned, featuring 360-degree visibility, a 4.3-inch color display, increased foot space, a comfortable seat and ergonomic controls. Auxiliary hydraulic performance and five customizable attachment settings can be adjusted directly in the display. Attachment changes are quicker, thanks to the hydraulic quick coupler system.
Standard guarding protects critical components, and all key maintenance points are accessible at ground level. Advanced SmartAssist Remote telematics provides owners, operators and fleet managers with real-time remote data analytics, geo-fencing, preventative service scheduling and more.
Yanmar CE NA backs the ViO35-7 with a 4-year/4,000-hour warranty. Additional models in Yanmar’s -7 lineup include the 18,409-pound ViO80-7 and 21,671-pound SV100-7.
