EDA releases 2018 dealer-manufacturer survey report to help improve supply chain

The Equipment Dealers Association (EDA) has released its 2018 Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey Report. Designed to enhance improvements in the supply chain, the annual overview covers the relationship between agriculture and outdoor power equipment dealers and their suppliers.

“Every year, we find invaluable information in this survey that has the ability to directly impact the relationship between dealer and supplier,” says Joe Dykes, vice president of industry relations for EDA.

“When valuable, third party data is available for these dealers and manufacturers, the quality of products and service their customers receive can improve immensely.”

MH Equipment’s Evansville branch relocates, doubles in size

MH Equipment’s Evansville, Indiana, branch has relocated to 728 Rusher Lane, doubling the size of its facilities in the city. The company expects to host an open house and ribbon cutting early this fall.

According to Mike Goebel, MH Equipment‘s South/East Region president, the relocation is the result of “tremendous growth. This growth prompted our move to Evansville’s north side, where we can continue to excel in the service that allowed us to earn the business of our current customers as a primary consideration.”

The move gives the company additional capacity to grow its rental products, such as mobile elevating work platforms and specialty lifts, Goebel says. The branch will continue its 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours.

Texas shop’s 48-hour, half-cost truck remanufacturing leads to a DOT grant program

Jim Camp says he can sleep better at night knowing that he’s saving tax payers tens of thousands of dollars through Vehicle Reman.

Camp, who’s the director of transportation at the East Texas Council of Governments, opted to have two paratransit buses rebuilt through Vehicle Reman instead of scrapping them and buying brand new replacements.

The math’s pretty simple: a new bus built on a Ford E-350 chassis costs around $73,000, Camp explained. But for roughly half that cost, he can get a refurbished bus through Vehicle Reman with a three-year, 75,000-mile powertrain warranty.
