Outdoor power equipment manufacturer Echo has upped its battery game this year with the launch of four new products to improve how operators use and charge their equipment.
Equipment World was on the ground at Echo’s 2026 Power-On-Athon event in Lake Zurich, Illinois, where the company debuted its new products for a crowd of editors and influencers.
X Series Tabless Batteries
The first of Echo’s key new battery offerings is the 5Ah and 10Ah X Series Tabless Batteries, designed for commercial use with improved performance and set to drop in the second quarter of 2027.

Compared to previous iterations, the new X Series batteries offer several upgrades, starting with onboard diagnostics available through an LED display. Contractors can quickly check the X Series battery’s battery status and performance, including how many cycles the battery has been through. That same LED screen can also give operators temperature warnings.
Echo has improved the batteries’ rain resistance for better all-weather performance, a USB-C port for charging mobile devices and a SecurePocket compartment for inserting devices like AirTags for tracking the batteries. A slightly stretchy carrying handle makes it easier for crews to carry multiple batteries at once.

Echo had two new products released alongside the new X Series batteries to improve how contractors keep their tools running.

The LC-56V1A6 six-port daisy-chain charger lets operators charge up to 18 56V batteries at once through a 120V/15-amp outlet by connecting three of these units through their accompanying outlets. An included stainless-steel wall mount gives contractors more options on where to install these large charging units.
Alongside these new charging stations is Echo’s PDM-204T power distribution manager for overnight fleet charging without electrical upgrades. Contractors can plug up to four chargers with a max of 16 charging ports into the PDM — and plug the PDM itself into a 20-amp outlet. The PDM will automatically sense and adjust the load as the batteries charge.

This means contractors can leave a large number of batteries to charge without the risk of popping a breaker, as the PDM’s smart load balancing can detect a charger drawing too much power and cut off output to that unit. An LED screen shows the PDM’s total load in real time
New OPE Offerings
Alongside the new battery tech from Echo were several new products aimed at the commercial landscaping market.

A standout among these products was the PB-9510, which has become Echo’s most powerful backpack blower. Contractors will be working with 56 Newtons of force, a 235-mph airflow and a 105 fluid-ounce tank. It is powered by a 79.9cc 2-stroke engine. A padded harness gives waist and chest support.
Operators will also get Posi-Loc tubes and variable speed control and can upgrade the PB-9510 with a tube-mounted or hip-mounted throttle.
Echo USA
Another key release at the Power-On-Athon was the new Snow Thrower Attachment. Demoed on-site with artificial snow at Echo’s Lake Zurich campus, the new product works on Echo’s Pro Attachment Series platform and can throw snow up to 25 feet.
Operators will be able to clear a 12-inch-wide by 6-inch-deep path with 60-degree directional louvers.
