The big show is fast approaching, and ConExpo exhibitors have given us a sneak peek into what they’ll have in store for those attending the March 7-11 massive exhibition. To view previous preview entries for ConExpo 2017 click here. Here’s the spotlight on four exhibitors in the Central Hall:

McLaughlin Underground, booth C-32615

The Vermeer ECO Series of truck-mounted vacuum excavators by McLaughlin offer utility contractors a compact machine with lowered fuel and operating costs. Powered by a 49-, 85- or 95-horsepower auxiliary engine, the units have either a 500- or 1,200-gallon spoil tank capacity and can be mounted on both new and used truck chassis.  The ECO50 Series (shown) has a 1,025 cfm 15-inch mercury blower and 5.6 gpm water pumps.

Booth activities: Equipment demonstrations and giveaways.

Other equipment on display: McLaughlin Verifier 3G utility locator.

breaker-technologyBreaker Technology, booth C-30332

The MBS12S rockbreaker system is for light-duty breaking on mobile crushing units. The rockbreaker operates a range of hydraulic breakers up to the 1,500 foot-pound class and pairs well with the CX4 and BX15 rockbreaker units. The track-plant ready interface connects to the plant’s main frame, as well as existing hydraulic and electrical systems. It works on both new and existing plants. The unit’s compact pedestal base is designed to provide a smaller footprint for installation in confined spaces, and can reduce the overall weight effect on the crushing plant structure by up to 50 percent, compared to older models.

Booth activities: A customer appreciation event will be held in the booth with Astec, immediately following the show.

Other equipment on display: Full line of breaker attachments, NTE RockBreaker System, V-Series compactors, MCP-IT Fixed Jaw Pulverizer and Shear Eagle II dedicated shears.

DSC Dredge, LLC, booth C-20523

Available in diesel or electric power, the DSC Shark Class cutter suction dredge features a conventional dredge-operating configuration with a modular design for ease of transportation. With standard discharge sizes ranging from 10 to 24 inches (and customizable up to 36 inches), the dredge is said to be well suited for sand and gravel producers and construction contractors. It features a PLC-based operating system, electro-proportional hydraulic circuits, high-capacity service water system and an inline direct marine-style transmission for dredge pump reduction. An ergonomic, user-friendly control system simplifies operations. The dredge also features power up/down spud systems with API-rated winch drums for proper cable storage.

With a maximum theoretical output torque of 10,378-foot-pounds, the Digga MM-10K Anchor drive is engineered to be used on compact loaders, skid steers and excavators. The new planetary gearbox-driven anchor drives work efficiently on auxiliary flows of up to 18.5 gpm to accommodate a wide range of machines. The attachment comes with a unit-specific mounting plate for easy installation and set up.

Other equipment on display: Auger drilling drives, auger bits, trenchers, a cement mixer, and a telescopic extension mount.
