JCB is offering three new mid-range JS excavators for the 11-15 tonne sector.
The JS115, JS130 and JS145 crawler excavators feature Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim Ecomax engines, a new multi-function LCD monitor, LiveLink, low noise levels and revised hydraulic systems.
The excavators’ Ecomax engine, which requires not DPF or additives, features high efficiency hydraulic pumps and circuits, a customizable 10 changeable message signs LCD monitor with an optional 18 changeable message signs screen, JCB Tool Select to manage flow for multiple attachments, a 10-percent increase in fuel savings, LiveLink connectivity for engine and ECU data analysis.
The 91hp JCB Ecomax engine uses 2,000 bar common rail injection pressures, variable geometry turbocharging and cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) to meet Stage IIIB/Tier 4 requirements.
JCB’s Tool Select system allows the operator to control the auxiliary hydraulic circuit through the LCD monitor and adjust hydraulic flow to meet the requirement of up to 10 pre-set attachments. The optional Advanced Tool Select system and electro-proportional controls for auxiliary attachments are also available.
JCB designed the JS excavators with updates from the previous excavators, including optimized hydraulic circuits and pumps, a multi-function monitor with color-coded working modes on a single dial and PowerBoost for all four working modes.
Additionally, the in-cab noise levels in these models are 70 decibels, compared to 73 decibels in older models. External noise levels are down to 99 decibels from 100 decibels.
Security features include LiveLink’s full fuel consumption data with a list of which working modes were in use, operator-adjustable hydraulic flow and ECU pairing to prevent unauthorized use of the machine.
Safety features include upper structure safety rails, a hydraulically raised cab, high specification air suspended and heated seating and a second camera for all-around visibility.
