Komatsu’s new PC210LC-11 excavator is more efficient, more comfortable

Komatsu PC210LC-11

Following the announcement of its new log loader earlier in the week, Komatsu has introduced the new PC210LC-11 hydraulic excavator.

Similar to the log loader, the main update to the machine is a new engine, producing 7 more horsepower while consuming 6 percent less fuel than its predecessor.

The PC210LC-11 is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D107E-3 Tier 4 Final engine generating 165 hp. Also new to the machine is a viscous fan clutch which improves cooling system efficiency and reduces noise levels.

In-cab noise has been decreased as well, down two decibels. Operators will also find updates to the machine’s 7-inch LCD monitor including a new split-display allowing a from the rear camera alongside gauge data. Meanwhile, a standard pattern change valve makes it easy to switch joystick patterns to accommodate specific operator preferences.

The machine features three travel speeds and six work modes as well as a standard 9,634-pound heavy counterweight for improved over-the-front and over-the-side lift capacity.

The PC210LC-11 is equipped with the company’s telematics system, Komtrax, which allows operators and fleet managers to keep up with the machine’s fuel levels, operating hours, location and gives you cautions and maintenance alerts via a website or a smartphone. Additionally, Komtrax now monitors DEF levels, ambient air temperatures and pressures.

Komatsu CARE is provided on the machine for the first three years or 2,000 hours, and includes scheduled factory maintenance, a 50-point inspection at each service, and two DPF exchanges and DEF tank flushes in the first five years.
