KOBELCO’s new 130-ton SK1300DLC-11 demolition excavator boasts improved tool capacities and greater working heights, previously available only on larger machines.
Multiple boom and arm combinations enable working heights up to 130 feet and tool weights up to 21,000 pounds, allowing the SK1300DLC-11 to tackle everything from high-reach demolition to foundation work, according to KOBELCO.
The excavator features a modular design for easier disassembly and transport. The minimum transport weight of the base machine without the counterweight is 134,000 pounds, with no single component weighing over 39,800 pounds.
A 512-horsepower Isuzu Tier 4 Final engine powers the 302,000-pound excavator, the same model used in KOBELCO’s recently released SK850LC-11. The engine meets emissions regulations with diesel oxidation catalyst and selective catalytic reduction but no diesel particulate filter.
Built for Demolition
The excavator comes with a separate demo digging front, three-piece high-reach and four-piece high-reach multi-configuration front attachment. KOBELCO's new Next Advance attachment system allows operators to handle heavier tools at greater heights with stability.
The separate boom specification allows for a range of applications, from low-level building demolition to foundation demolition. Two settings are available: Normal mode or Foundation mode. Normal mode offers a maximum tool weight of 21,000 pounds, while Foundation mode allows for heavier crushers up to 26,400 pounds.
Operators can also equip the separate boom specification with an insert boom, which allows for working heights up to 79 feet above ground.
The three-piece ultra-long attachment specification balances working height and reach. The 115-foot or 102-foot boom configurations have a working reach of 69 feet and 62 feet, respectively, which are greater than the four-piece specification.
With the four-piece ultra-long attachment specification, operators can choose from 115-foot or 130-foot boom configurations. New articulation joints in the insert boom keep the center of gravity of the overall machine lower, enabling the use of large crushers.
Additional features for the high-reach attachment include:
- Transport and storage stands
- Water spray system
- Electronic on-board lubrication system
- Quick hitch piping
- Boom and arm safety valves
- Two-piece removable layered counterweight
- Removable track system with remote trans-lifter
- Energy-saving ECO Mode
- In-cab hydraulic pressure release
- Combination rotation and nibbler breaker with proportional hand controls
- Case drain line and filter
- Reversible fan
Roomier New Cab
KOBELCO equipped all -11 series excavators with a new cabin featuring enhanced ergonomics and safety features, added space and increased visibility. Built for demolition, the SK1300DLC-11 also gets sound suppression and a 30-degree tilting cabin with an emergency lowering system.
The pilot levers move horizontally without arching the wrist, the company says, while also providing shorter lever strokes to deliver a swifter, more precise movement.
Multiple air conditioning and heater vents are directed toward the operator. On the right-side console, a jog dial integrates multiple functions into a single user interface on a 10-inch color monitor. The menu displays key information including work mode, maintenance intervals and fuel consumption.
Additional cab features include:
- 270-degree camera system with switchable rear-under view camera or high-reach attachment view
- Rearview mirrors
- LED work lights
- Rear swing flashers
- Level II FOPS guard and bar-type front guard
- P5A safety glass
- Falling object deflector
- Cab interference prevention system
- Stability tip-over warning
- Public address speaker system
- FM/AM, AUX, Bluetooth radio
- Smartphone holder
- USB charger
- 12-volt power outlet
The SK1300DLC-11 comes with a three-year/3,000-hour limited full machine warranty and a five-year/3,000-hour engine emission warranty, provided through KOBELCO and its dealer network.
