Sany has rolled out five new excavators for 2026, ranging from 16 to 60 tons, with upgraded cabs and more standard features.

The new lineup designed for North America consists of the 16-ton SY135C, 17.5-ton SY155U, 27-ton SY235H, 37-ton SY335C and 60-ton SY500H.

Here’s a look at the new excavators:

The conventional-tailswing excavator gets a new body design that is taller for increased cooling ability and serviceability, according to Adam Francis, Sany America product specialist, speaking at ConExpo 2026.

Along with a new body, the excavator gets Sany’s next-generation cab with 7-inch touchscreen display, rearview camera, pilot controls and eight-tool selection mode.

Sany also gave the seat 16 points of adjustability.

The SY135C at ConExpo was displayed with a mulcher attachment. Francis said the excavator was able to produce as much as larger competitor excavators.

Other standard features include:

  • Backfill blade.
  • First and second auxiliary hydraulic lines.
  • Quick coupler.
  • Steel tracks.

At ConExpo, it was equipped with a tiltrotator, which provides 360-degree rotation and side tilt for more precise digging and increased efficiency. It enables operators to grade more accurately, trench around obstacles and work on slopes without repositioning the excavator.

The 17.5-ton excavator can also be equipped with bolt-on rubber pads to protect roads and other surfaces.

It runs on a 103.9-horsepower Isuzu engine, gets the same cab treatment as the other new excavators and a 16-point adjustable seat.

Other standard features include:

  • Backfill blade.
  • Dual auxiliary circuits.
  • Quick coupler plumbing to end of stick.
  • 7-inch touchscreen display.

It is made for utility and grading contractors for digging and material handling on large sites.

It gets a longer undercarriage for added stability. It also gets Sany’s new grade control system, which the company designed and produced in-house. Francis says the new system is compatible with base stations from the major aftermarket companies like Trimble and Leica Geosystems.

The new cab is equipped with a heated, air-ride seat that has 18 points of adjustability. The 10.1-inch display enables control of auxiliary hydraulic pressures and flow, as well as the second auxiliary pump for handling multifunction attachments like tiltrotators. Rearview and blindside cameras come standard.

It also comes standard with dual auxiliary lines, a rotate circuit, quick coupler, thumb and a 48-inch-wide bucket. The company says the excavator is ideal for trenching, sorting pipes and materials, loading trucks and handling debris. The hydraulic thumb can grab awkward loads like boulders or culvert sections, the company says.

Sany SY335C LC

Sany SY335C LCSany SY335C LCSany AmericasThe Sany SY335C LC is a long-chassis model that was first released at ConExpo 2023.

The 37-ton excavator gets the new cab treatment as the other excavators, with an air-ride, heated, multi-adjustable seat.

The cab also has rearview and blindside camera views, 10-inch touchscreen monitor and eight-tool selection modes.

The excavator is designed for large-scale excavation and heavy material handling on construction, utility and road infrastructure sites and for forestry and demolition.

It runs on a 280-horsepower Cummins engine that the company says delivers stronger torque and higher displacement.

A dedicated gear pump for the second auxiliary rotate circuit comes standard for powering a tiltrotator. A long-arm configuration is also available with bolt-on counterweights for providing the same stability as standard stick, the company says.

Sany SY500H

Sany SY500HSany SY500HSany AmericaThe largest of the new excavators is the 60-ton SY500H, which runs on a 400-horsepower Cummins diesel engine.

It is built for large-scale material movement and deep excavation for projects like utility infrastructure, mass excavation, forestry, quarries and demolition.

It has a long chassis for additional stability and can handle extreme terrain, the company says.

The new cab comes with the multi-adjustable, air-ride seat and 10-inch display, which can control auxiliary hydraulics.

Other standard features include dual auxiliary circuits and quick coupler. A high-performance cooling system has an electronic-control fan clutch for clean, quiet operation, the company says. The counterweight is removable for meeting hauling restrictions and lowering transportation costs.
