Komatsu to Open New Arizona Parts Distribution Center

Komatsu plans to open a new 270,000-square-foot parts distribution center in Mesa, Arizona, by the end of the year.

The new location in the Western United States is intended strengthen regional parts availability, improve delivery responsiveness and help dealers and customers increase uptime across the region.

Investments in automation, storage systems and operational enhancements will help streamline parts deliveries, the company says, along with additional capabilities including:

  • Stocking parts for construction, mining, forklift and forestry equipment
  • Improving regional parts availability through localized inventory
  • Reducing freight distance and transportation requirements
  • Enabling next-morning delivery to many Western dealers

“This investment reflects Komatsu’s long-term commitment to strengthening support for our dealers and customers across the Western U.S.,” said Danny Murtagh, vice president of parts and infrastructure. “With expanded distribution capabilities and greater inventory availability positioned closer to our customers, we can respond faster, improve equipment uptime and deliver a better overall support experience.”

Development of the facility is currently underway with operations expected to begin at the end of 2026. Komatsu has dozens of facilities across the U.S. and Canada that supply and distribute parts for its construction, mining and forestry equipment. In addition to the Mesa, Arizona location, a Komatsu spokesperson told Equipment World that the company also plans to open a major new distribution center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada this year.
