Members of the Association of Equipment Managers will ramp up their calls for an infrastructure bill to be passed now while visiting the White House and Capitol Hill during the week of May 14. The push is part of advocacy activities associated with national Infrastructure Week and the annual Transportation Construction Coalition Fly-In.
AEM says that “members will leverage the momentum created at March’s World of Asphalt Show & Conference by thousands of industry representatives who sent a similar message to Washington.”

AEM’s 2018 Chair and Doosan Bobcat North America President Rich Goldsbury, Vermeer President and CEO Jason Andringa, and Volvo CE employees will participate in a pro-infrastructure press conference on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol with key infrastructure leaders. They include Senator Ben Cardin, U.S. Reps. Jeff Denham and Eleanor Holmes Norton, as well as other industry groups.
Goldsbury and Andringa will then join representatives from the trucking and port industries at AEM’s Infrastructure Week Capitol Hill briefing to discuss the infrastructure needs of equipment manufacturers in getting whole products and components from facility to customer.
Throughout next week, AEM members will represent the equipment manufacturing industry at the annual Transportation Construction Coalition Fly-In, an annual gathering of road and highway construction industry leaders.
