FHWA rated one of best places to work in federal government

highway-trust-Untitled-1The Partnership for Public Service (PPS) has ranked the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as one of the best places to work in the federal government, placing the agency with the top five percent for a fourth year in a row.

“Exceptional public service is on display every day at the U.S. Department of Transportation, and this survey reaffirms that,” says Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. “The men and women of the FHWA have earned this important recognition through their professionalism, innovation and persistence. They work hard every day to provide better and safer roads and bridges for their fellow Americans.”

PPS surveyed federal employees about their respective workplaces between April and June 2015 for the 2015 “Best Places to Work Index.” The group bases rankings on the Office of Personnel Management’s Best Places to Work in the Federal Government Survey, which analyzes data collected from more than 430,000 federal workers to produce a detailed view of employee satisfaction and commitment.

“All our employees know firsthand that the work we do has a real impact on people’s daily lives,” said Federal Highway Administrator Gregory Nadeau. “Keeping the public safe is our top priority, and that simple goal is what makes working at FHWA so worthwhile. The enthusiasm of our employees makes the agency an ideal workplace.”
