In a memo released last week, OSHA announced that it has decided to postpone the implementation of its new stricter Fall Protection rules.
The rules were set to go into effect December 15, but according to a report from Builder, have been postponed until March 15, 2013. Until that date, OSHA will keep in place the temporary rules that have been in place since September 22.
The new rules will impose fines of $7,000 for a serious noncompliance violation and up to $70,000 for willful violations.
