Kubota Tractor Corporation has stepped up to the next level in its continuing support of veterans who farm – and who give back to their communities in various ways.

In partnership with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC), Kubota, which has given away tractors to some deserving veterans, is now providing additional support for the non-profit’s farmer-veteran members by offering them customer rebates on select Kubota equipment.

The discount program rebates will be honored at all 1,100 authorized-Kubota dealerships nationwide. Discount rebates range from $100 to $500 across various product lines, and they are in addition to most current Kubota promotions, the company says.

The discount program is an extension of the company’s existing partnership with FVC called “Geared to Give,”  which works to identify and provide financial and equipment support to those who have served their country and are now serving their communities through food and farming.

Geared to Give was created to provide much-needed equipment to power and empower veterans to achieve their dreams and make a direct impact on agriculture in their communities,” explains Alex Woods, Kubota vice president of sales operations, supply chain and parts.

“Kubota is pleased to build on this program by offering product discounts to FVC members, adding yet another way to appreciate those who have bravely served our country. By offering farmer-veteran member discounts, we hope more veterans will be encouraged to visit their local Kubota dealerships, meet their dealer, and learn about how our products can continue to help them do their best work.”

Michael O’Gorman, executive director of FVC, has had a long-term vision to extend partner discounts to its members and is proud to see Kubota leading the way, a press release says.

To qualify for the discount program rebates, Kubota customers must be a veteran from any branch of the U.S. military and a member of the Farmer Veteran Coalition.

All veterans can apply for a free FVC membership on the organization’s website, farmvetco.org. Once a veteran applies for an FVC membership, if approved, they will receive a digital membership card directly from FVC.

Kubota says its dealers are required to confirm FVC membership, which also verifies veteran status, at the time of purchase.

While onsite at the dealership, customers can show their digital FVC membership card to confirm verification of their status and membership in real-time prior to the sales transaction. Customers can also print out the verification card from a home computer prior to their dealership visit.

In addition to qualifying for product discounts, FVC members can apply to the Farmer Veteran Fellowship Fund in order to be considered for donated Kubota equipment through the Geared to Give program.

Last fall, four recipients were presented with keys to their new tractors as part of Kubota’s 2017 “Geared to Give” program in partnership with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC), which is mobilizing veterans to help feed the country.

Many of the 1,100 dealers at Kubota’s annual meeting in Phoenix October 21-25 attended that special ceremony honoring the vets by providing tractors and resources through their Kubota dealerships.

The next application process for those tractors will open in early 2019. Kubota has selected its Standard L-Series compact tractors for this program, as their versatility and efficiency are ideal for meeting the varying needs of many small- and medium-sized farming operations.
