After revealing the next generation of its largest articulated dump truck at ConExpo 2026, Develon has followed up with the redesign of its smallest ADT, the DA30-7.

The 62,000-payload artic gets a completely redesigned cab, like its sister DA45-7, with a more automotive feel. Both the new DA30 and DA45 are launching this summer.

“The most significant update from the previous -5 models to the new DA30-7 and DA45-7 is a completely reimagined interior layout,” says Jay Patel, product manager at Develon. “The truck’s interior transitioned from a traditional heavy-equipment feel to a high-end, automotive-inspired environment.”

The 12-inch touchscreen has been moved to eye level, so operators don’t have to take their eyes off the ground ahead. The screen delivers a “larger, clearer view of critical machine data, status updates and settings,” according to Develon.

The display includes real-time monitoring of the payload weight to prevent over- or under-loading and a gradient meter that shows the ADTs incline and pitch for increased safety and to prevent tipping.

The monitor also shows camera feeds and operational gauges like speed, engine rpm, and fuel and diesel exhaust fluid levels and consumption rates, as well as engine and hydraulic oil temperatures.

Another new feature the DA30-7 shares with its larger sister is Auto-Hold Brake that protects the truck and operator when loading and unloading and assists when climbing and descending hills. It also reduces wear on the transmission by automatically holding the truck in position.

When loading or unloading the truck, the operator presses the Auto-Hold button, which engages the brakes and shifts to neutral. Putting the truck in drive and pressing the accelerator releases Auto-Hold.

Auto-Hold also prevents the need for two-foot operation when climbing hills. The brake releases automatically when it senses enough forward torque.

The cab’s automotive feel continues with Develon’s new parking brake lever. Operators pull the lever up to activate it and press down to release.

The DA30-7 runs on a 362.1-horsepower Scania diesel engine that meets Tier 4 Final standards with diesel oxidation catalyst and selective catalyst reduction. It does not require a diesel particulate filter.

  • Front-mounted turning ring — designed to provide equal weight distribution to the front axle even during heavy steer articulation.
  • Free-swinging rear tandem bogie — provides constant six-wheel ground contact and power distribution on difficult terrain.
  • Self-leveling, hydro-gas front suspension system — for increased shock absorption and a smoother ride.
  • Limited slip differential — provides the highest torque to the wheel with the best grip.
  • Bed heater — prevents material from sticking to bed when dumping.
  • Cab tilt for service.
  • Ground-level fuel and DEF fill.
  • More accessible power module.
  • Centralized maintenance panel.
  • Larger, auto grease tank (5.3 gallons) for extended service intervals.
  • Standard My Develon fleet management telematics — monitor the truck’s fuel usage, location, payload data and overall health via smartphone app or web browser.
