The folks at Mopar trotted out a few concept vehicles at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas this week, among them a gussied up Ram 1500 Rebel.

The Ram Rebel X is powered by a specially tuned 5.7 liter HEMI engine, with cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust and exhaust tips. The system is fed by an active Ram Air duct and gets an air ride suspension undernearth.

You can already get a Rebel 1500 with a big HEMI, and Mopar president Pietro Gorlier says much of the rest of the “X” concept can be ordered from the pages of a Mopar catalog.

The pickup gets a coat of dark copper exterior paint and a sport performance hood, accented with a matte black graphics trimmed with a Mopar Blue tracer. Mopar wheel flares shelter 35-inch Toyo tires, which are wrapped around 17-inch cast-aluminum beadlock wheels. Painted functional beadlock rings with fasteners are also featured on the wheels, along with Mopar center caps.

Black tubular side steps provide a lift into the cab, which features Katzkin leather seats embroidered with the model’s name: ‘Rebel’ is outlined in silver amid a black field, while ‘X’ adjoins it in a neighboring blue field. Copper stitching accents the armrest and steering wheel. Additional features inside include all-weather slush mats, a pedal kit and door sills.
