We’re suckers for off-road tuned Super Duty trucks and that’s probably why “Project SD126” is one of the more exciting trucks we’ve seen Ford trot out in recent memory.
First introduced at the SEMA show back in November, this concept truck is built upon a standard cab 2017 F-250 XLT. The truck has been transformed inside and out for “ultimate off-road performance,” Ford says.
Ford says the truck was converted to a short bed for the build’s 126-inch wheelbase before being equipped with the following:
- BDS Suspension front four-link conversion and rear trailing arm conversion
- FOX 2.5 DSC coilovers and 3.0 external bypass shocks (14” travel)
- FOX 2.0 IFP bump stops
- Pac Racing monster sway bar and coil springs
- JE Reel front and rear drive shafts
- F450 Dana60/M300 10-lug axles with 4.30 gearing
The truck rides on Stazworks Cheyenne 8 wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Baja TA KR tires. Here’s the rundown of exterior modifications:
