Singapore-based Typhon Machinery has rolled out the next generation of its Terror XVII mini excavator with the all-new Terror XVII Pro, introducing enhanced operator comfort features and greater versatility in a cab or canopy configuration.
Both variants are powered by a 20.4-horsepower Kubota D902 diesel engine, designed to delivery smooth power, fuel efficiency and long service life, the company says.
The hydraulic system supplies up to 2,610 psi for digging and heavy-duty attachment work. The double-side auxiliary throttle valves send hydraulic oil to powered attachments and the hydraulic thumb simultaneously. Oil cooling protection guards against overheating during constant operation, maintains performance in hot climates and extends the life of the hydraulic system, the company says.
Inside the cab are pilot controls, heat, air conditioning and a premium seat with a headrest and armrests.
Delivering 45 degrees of left swing and 55 degrees of right swing, the offset boom lets operators dig in tight spaces with less repositioning of the machine, the company says. The undercarriage is fitted with 9.1-inch-wide tracks that offers floatation, traction and stability over muddy, soft and uneven ground, according to Typhon. The mini excavator has a top speed of 1.3 mph.
Powered byThe Terror XVII Pro comes with a 16.5-inch bucket, standard dozer blade and hydraulic thumb clip. It has a 86.5-inch maximum dig depth.
Reinforced hydraulic hose protection and shielded hydraulic valves help improve durability in harsh working environments, while simplified service access allows operators to perform routine maintenance more efficiently, the company says. The fuel tank and hydraulic oil reservoir are next to each other to reduce servicing time.
Three color options are available: red, yellow or blue. The open canopy model starts at $11,999, and the cab variant starts at $13,999.
More than 32,500 new financed mini excavators were sold from May 2025 to April 2026, according to Fusable's EDA data. EDA is owned by Fusable, parent company of Equipment World.
