AGC: Objections to original CARB proposal saved contractors $9 billion
During a federal hearing today, Associated General Contractors of America lawyers said the California Air Resources Board overestimated emissions from off-road diesel construction equipment by at least 340 percent in its 2007 proposal for an off-road diesel emissions rule.

AGC: Shrinking construction industry adds 1,000 jobs in August as unemployment rate falls
Construction employers added 1,000 jobs in August as the industry's unemployment rate fell to 11.3 percent, according to an analysis of new federal data released today by the AGC Friday. The August 2011 unemployment rate for construction workers was 13.5 percent.
