The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) has approved nine Virginia transportation infrastructure contracts valued at $102.5 million.
Most of the projects are in the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Northern Virginia District, with officials saying they “improve mobility, enhance safety and extend the life of the state’s transportation network.”
The projects include:
- $43.2 million for widening a section of U.S. 1 in Prince William County
Contractor: Fort Myer Construction, Washington, D.C.

- $14.4 million for signal maintenance work in VDOT’s Southwest Regional Operations area including Bristol, Lynchburg and Salem districts
Contractor: Elite Contracting Group, Petersburg, Virginia
- $44.9 million for seven paving and spring road maintenance projects for multiple interstates and primary and secondary roads throughout Virginia
Contractor: Fort Myer Construction, Washington, D.C.
- Northern Virginia District interstate, $6.5 million
Contractor: Rogers Group, Nashville, Tennessee
- Bristol District primary roads, $5.4 million
Contractor: Colony Construction, Powhatan, Virginia
- Richmond District primary roads, $5.7 million
Contract: Branscome, Williamsburg, Virginia
- Fredericksburg District primary roads, $7.8 million
Contractor: Virginia Paving, division of Land Construction, Cheshire, Connecticut
- Northern Virginia District primary roads, $6.1 million
Contractor: Virginia Paving, division of Land Construction, Cheshire, Connecticut
- Northern Virginia District secondary roads, $6.4 million
Contractor: Arthur Construction, Dulles, Virginia
