At World of Concrete in Las Vegas this week, Hyundai Construction Equipment announced that it is bringing its All-Around View Monitoring system to its HL900-series wheel loaders.

First launched on the company’s HX-Series excavators in 2015, Hyundai’s AAVM creates a 360-degree virtual operating view of the jobsite around the machine using a system of four cameras. The system can display multiple 3D and 2D views of the environment around the machine, including a bird’s-eye view.

The cameras are mounted on the left- and right-side mirrors, on the front of the cab and on the rear hood (also used as the backup camera).

AAVM includes Hyundai’s moving object detection system which will warn the operator with onscreen flashing arrows and an audible alarm when objects or people came within either of two selectable ranges of the wheel loader (6.5 feet or 22.9 feet).

You can watch a video of the system shot back in 2015 around the launch of the HX-Series excavators, below.
