According to a report from King 5 TV, an unidentified man “broke through the gates of a secure lot where the company’s equipment is kept,” and left with 20 tons of heavy equipment worth nearly $200,000.

Alcorn says the thief was able to hotwire a 2009 GMC dump truck, fill it up with thousands of dollars worth of tools, trailer a John Deere backhoe to the rear and drive off.

Alcorn didn’t discover the theft until after returned to his business following the holiday weekend. he notified Lakewood Police who began their search for the man.

Oddly enough, the thief has been spotted several times driving the truck around town since he pulled off the heist, though the company’s logos have been removed from the vehicle. The man remains on the loose but police are circulating an image of him captured by a gas station security camera.
