Bobcat has added to its M-Series lineup with the introduction of the T740, a Tier 4 Final-compliant 700 frame-size compact track loader.
The new machine is powered by a diesel engine with under 75 horsepower and thus does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). The non-DPF solution in the T740 engine features ultra-low particulate combustion (ULPC) with an engine combustion chamber that significantly reduces the amounts of particulate matter created during combustion.
Like all M-Series compact track loaders, the T740 features a cab-forward design that moves operators closer to the attachment and the work area. The machine provides high jobsite visibility in all directions. The company’s new loader also has the largest cab-door opening on the market, improving visibility to attachments, particularly to the cutting edge and corners of the bucket.
Standard controls with power assist are the base control configuration for the T740. Selectable joystick controls are available as an option.
With the T740, Bobcat is specifically targeting contractors and landscapers with promises of improved power, performance, operator comfort and better visibility. The machine has a rated operating capacity of 3,200 pounds and an operating weight of 10,263 pounds.
The vertical-lift-path loader is designed to lift loads higher so it’s easier to clear high-sided truck boxes and hoppers. Lift height to the hinge pin is 132 inches.
A 30.5-gpm high-flow hydraulic option gives operators greater attachment power and than 60 Bobcat attachments are approved for use with the T740.
