Volvo VNX 630

Giving the truck even more traction when hauling heavy equipment, Volvo has updated its VNX 630 severe duty hauler with a new tridem axle model.

The new truck features three rear drive axles rather than two in an 8Ă—6 configuration capable of hauling up to a 69,000-pound rear axle load.

Like the previous models, this VNX 630 is still powered by a Volvo D16 engine delivering up to 600 horsepower and 2,050 lb.-ft. of torque.

The engine is paired with Volvo’s I-Shift automated manual transmission which can sense truck load and road grade to place the truck in the correct gear for those specific conditions.

The truck is outfitted with a mid-roof sleeper with several trim levels available offering both vinyl and leather interiors.

Volvo’s Remote Diagnostics service is standard on the VNX giving operators and fleet managers anytime access to the truck’s key operation data.
