With cost reduction and enhanced operator comfort in mind, Pettibone launched a new addition to the Cary-Lift line this week at ConExpo-ConAgg 2014. The Cary-Lift 154, which features a streamlined redesign, also offers simplified maintenance while boosting productivity in load handling jobs such as pipes and poles, recycling and scrap, and rough terrain applications.

Powered by a 160-horsepower Cummins QSB 6.7-liter Tier III diesel engine, the 154 has a 15,000-pound max load capacity and a 14-foot max lift height.

The unit has Pettibone’s overhead lift arm design, which gives the operator a full range of visibility, particularly when combined with the 154’s sloped engine compartment at the rear of the machine. The machine has four-wheel drive with two-wheel, four-wheel and crab hydraulic power steering modes. A 10-foot wheelbase enables the 154 to have a 16-foot, 7-inch turning radius.

The 154 has features new to the Cary-Lift line, including wider lift arms for improved load stability. The machine also features hydraulic frame sway control and a quick attach system for a range of attachments.

Additional features include an IQAN controlled electrohydraulic system that offers infinite variable control; a multi-function joystick with intuitive fingertip controls; a centralized lubrication system with balanced dual fuel tanks and a single refueling port; high-output LED lighting; tinted safety glass windows and more.
