Bobcat’s newest stand-on mini track loader packs 1,200 pounds of lift capacity into a small, maneuverable package that’s not much wider than your average wheelbarrow.
Product Specialist Nick Pagano gave us a closer look at the MT120 at the 2025 Public Works Expo. Since its release in April, it has already become the fifth-highest-selling compact utility loader, according to EDA’s equipment finance data. Take a walkaround tour in our video above.
With 88 inches of lift height and 22 inches of reach, the MT120 is made for loading trucks and trailers or placing materials in hard-to-reach areas. The 24.5-horsepower engine that requires no diesel particulate filter and a new direct-drive system simplify maintenance. Top travel speed is 4.7 mph.
New smooth, responsive pilot controls allow for precise operation, the company says. A rocker switch on the workgroup handle simplifies attachment operation, allowing the operator to engage the auxiliary hydraulics without taking their hand off the joystick.
A new 4.3-inch display offers intuitive machine settings and troubleshooting, along with a password-protected keyless start.
The MT120's ground pressure is 4.3 psi with the standard 9.1-inch tracks. When equipped with optional 11-inch-wide tracks, ground pressure drops to 3.8 psi. The flexible, cut-resistant and anti-gouge multi-bar lug tracks are designed to increase traction and reduce vibration on the operator. Comfort is further enhanced by the suspension platform, new cushioned hip pads and ergonomic design, the company says.
More than 50 available Bobcat attachments can be used with the MT120 for trenching, digging, demolition, site preparation, material handling, snow removal, utility installation, sweeping, stump grinding and other tasks. Buyers can choose from the Bob-Tach attachment mounting system or common industry interface.
