After years of teasing its release, Scag has officially rolled out its 2500X Tracked Power Buggy, designed to load, haul and dump concrete and other heavy materials like sand, stone, soil and mulch.
The manufacturer, known for its mowers, spreaders, aerators, blowers and truck loaders, also recently rolled out a stand-on mini track loader and small articulated wheel loader.
Powered by a 23-horsepower Vanguard V-Twin engine, the 2500X Tracked Power Buggy can haul up to 2,500 pounds of materials. The standard plastic composite hopper has a .56-cubic-yard capacity. A steel hopper is also available.
The operator station features an adjustable platform suspension and padded cushion, with the layout bearing a similar design to Scag’s stand-on V-Ride mowers.
The buggy is 35.5 inches wides for fitting through gates or on tight urban and residential jobsites. It has a forward speed of 6 mph and a reverse speed of 4 mph.
Additional features include:
- Pivot dump angle: The hopper features a 180-degree pivot dump radius and a 90-degree dump angle for easier material placement on tight jobsites.
- Dump and rotational controls: Two separate easy-to-reach controls are used for dumping and rotating the hopper.
- Manual de-clutching handle: The manual de-clutching handle allows for easier starting in cold weather conditions.
- Horizontal engine shaft: The engine is positioned for service access.
The 2500X Tracked Power Buggy has an MSRP of $19,499.
