GKN rolls out inverted slip design range driveshafts

GKN imageGKN Land Systems rolled out its new inverted slip design range Synergy 5C-10C driveshafts for the construction and mining industry at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014.

The range has a service-free design, which is done through optimizing spline geometry, spline grease for off-highway loads, temperatures and advanced slip seals. Specialized design of the splined components has allowed for increased length compensation. Improved balancing characteristics also allow for a smoother running shaft.

The overall design of the Synergy range, with increased standard slip length, refined profile and more compact dimensioning, reduces the metal content of the driveshaft, which makes it lighter and easier to install and service. It also optimizes the weight distribution of any vehicle and balancing loads more evenly as a result.
