Continental Tire unveils Generation 3 construction tire and matching retreads, reintroduces General Tire lines

At its 5,000 acre proving grounds and tire testing facility in Uvalde, Texas, Continental Tire gave us a look at its new Generation 3 line of tires designed for the rigors of the construction world.

The late September event also included briefings on the company’s digital tire technology and announced several additional tires to come—including the reintroduction of the General Tire bias-ply tire product.

Cemen Tech intros volumetric mixer package aimed at utility contractors

At last week’s ICUEE show in Louisville, Kentucky, Cemen Tech took the wraps off of a new configuration of its volumetric mixers designed specifically for utility contractors.

Providing standard concrete, flowable fill or specialty mixes, the new Utility Package mixer can fill micro-trenches, pour multiple types of concrete or grout with the same unit, and record and store all production information from the field, Cemen Tech says.

Case adds electro-hydraulic controls to F-Series compact wheel loaders

Case has updated the four compact wheel loaders models in its F-Series compact wheel loaders with new controls.

Operators can now adjust the responsiveness of the lift and tilt bucket functions on these loaders thanks to new electro-hydraulic controls. Lift and tilt settings can be adjusted with two new three-way rocker switches mounted on the side console.

Ditch Witch SK3000 ups compact utility loader operating capacity to 3,100 pounds (VIDEO)

A year and a half ago, parent company Toro made a splash at The Rental Show unveiling its prototype 2,000-pound operating capacity Dingo TXL 2000 compact utility loader. Now Toro’s Ditch Witch brand has upped the game with its 51-horsepower, 3,100-pound capacity SK3000, unveiled at the ICUEE show this week.

“We have a whole line of stand-on skid steers that have done really well and we wanted to look at ride-on skid steer machines and whether we could mount those capabilities on a stand-on skid steer,” says Chris Thompson, Ditch Witch compact equipment manager. “This gives you the benefits a skid steer plus the ability to easily get on and off.”

The E145 is a reduced tail swing, long carriage class excavator that is designed to offer a high degree of maneuverability. The longer carriage improves lift performance, Bobcat says, adding that the E145 boasts industry-leading lifting capacity. With this machine Bobcat is delivering an excavator it says can handle the most challenging tasks while also staying nimble at only 12 inches of tail swing.
