Komatsu America has been awarded a contract for construction equipment, attachments and supplies by Sourcewell, a governmental cooperative agency.

Known as the National Joint Powers Alliance until 2018, Sourcewell serves government agencies, municipalities, schools and non-profits by partnering with and contracting vetted companies that its clients can then purchase products and services from. The idea is to save members the time and hassle of an RFP process while also ensuring they get a good deal.

Sourcewell’s more than 50,000 members will now have access to 55 Komatsu products across nine different categories and will be supported by Komatsu America’s dealer network.

“Sourcewell provides a distinct advantage for government entities by giving them the ability to simplify the procurement process while having access to a wide variety of products and solutions,” said Doug Morris, director of sales and marketing for Komatsu America. “We’re excited to start providing Sourcewell with the quality products and reliability we’ve been dedicated to for nearly 100 years. Hand-in-hand with our distributors’ commitment to customer uptime, service and parts availability, we’re dedicated to supporting the industry for the long haul.”
