IronPlanet has launched a new twist to its allEquip online used equipment marketplace.

Launched in 2014 as an alternative to online equipment auctions, allEquip allows heavy equipment owners to sell their used machines with a fixed “Buy Now” price. Similar to the concept of eBay’s “Buy-It-Now” option, the site allows customers to purchase a piece of used equipment in just a few clicks—without having to bid on it.

Now, IronPlanet has added negotiated pricing into the formula through a “Make Offer” button.

The new functionality will also be available on the company’s GovPlanet and TruckPlanet marketplaces along with the traditional online and onsite auctions.

Additionally, with allEquip sellers can increase the speed of cash recovery, offer listings in parallel on their own website or channels simultaneously and control the negotiation process. Buyers will be able to access a larger selection of equipment and shop in a fixed and negotiated price format, IronPlanet says.
