A 20-ton boulder blocking a rural road might seem like an pretty difficult thing to move, but not when you have explosives.

After the massive boulder fell onto U.S. Highway 50 about 80 miles north of Sacramento, the California Department of Transportation cleared the area and brought in the big guns – well, big explosives.

In the video below released by Caltrans, the massive boulder can be seen with explosive charges attached before they spark and sever the boulder into pieces. The excess debris was then cleared away and drivers were allowed back on the road.
