CM Truck Beds unveils new Gen 2 SB Service Body

CM Truck Beds announced its new Gen 2 SB Service Body this week.

Building on the legacy of its popular SB model, CM added several upgrades to make the new SB even better suited to users’ needs.

“We’re pleased to debut the next generation of our hardworking service body model: The Gen 2 SB,” said Joe Lewis, vice president of ATW Truck Equipment, the business unit of ATW that includes CM Truck Beds.

Notable features of the Gen 2 SB include enhanced functions, new rugged stainless-steel fenders and aluminum cast square fuel fill. New steel-braided door holdback cables are designed to deliver heavy-duty performance and easier toolbox accessibility while reducing the chance of breakage, corrosion or damage to the powder-coat. Safety is enhanced as well thanks to features like lifetime warranty oval LED lights and a universal bolt-on crash zone bumper.

CM Service Bodies are built using a component-style design to offer more storage options. Three toolboxes on each side of the Gen 2 SB are available with multiple configurations, including vertical and horizontal options. As users’ needs change over time, the SB can be customized by adding side flip-tops, heavy-duty overhead racks, slide-out drawers, shelving, lighting, Master Locks and more.

With additional standard upgrades including T-handle compression latches and automotive D-bulb weatherstripping, CM’s new SB offers additional security and protection for its customers and their tools.

The Gen 2 SB Service Body retains the original 16-gauge (G60) galvanized steel body and TexArmor powder-coat finish and comes standard with a Universal Install Kit.
