The Asphalt Road Preservation Package by Neal Manufacturing, a division of Blastcrete Equipment LLC, combines the drivable DA 350 for quick prep work and curb-and-gutter sealcoating with the company’s High-Volume Road Maintenance Vehicle for fast spraying of aggregate.

“Our package ensures that whether they’re sealcoating a local street or a five-mile stretch of highway, they have dependable equipment to efficiently achieve high-quality results,” says Tripp Farrell, Neal Manufacturing president.

The company says the three-wheeled, self-propelled DA 350 allows contractors to complete prep work along curb-and-gutter streets up to seven times faster than manually. It features a heavy-duty diamond-shaped squeegee assembly that applies sealcoat into asphalt surface voids and then applies a second coat with the DA 350’s spray bar. This method results in a smooth finish that lasts 40 percent longer than applying two spray coats, the company says.

The DA 350 also features a built-in, high-powered blower and AutoTrim, an automatic cutting-in attachment.

The second part of the package is the High-Volume Road Maintenance Vehicle. Its Generation IV pump delivers up to 150 gallons per minute, even with larger aggregates mixes. The company says it designed the pump “to take on more aggregates and larger aggregates than any other pump on the market.”

The vehicle can cover up to 14 feet in one pass at 150 gallons per minute. It also can transfer 3,000 gallons of material from storage tanks within 20 minutes, which is twice as fast as standard pumps, the company says.

The pumps include robotically welded pump housings and industrial-grade hydraulic cylinders for longer life.

Neal added in-cab controls to adjust the spray bar’s height for achieving proper distance between the nozzles and the road. Individual nozzles can also be controlled from the cab.

Neal Manufacturing offers free training seminars on its products at its Anniston, Alabama, location.
