Product Focus: Field service trucks

Carry more equipment with field service lube truck
Featuring capacities larger than a lube skid, Auto Crane’s four field service lube trucks are useful for preventive maintenance as well as refueling. Available in single- or tandem-axle models, the lube truck also has larger fluid reservoirs for big jobsites.

Experience improved fuel efficiency with European field service body
Maneuver in tight environments and improve fuel economy with Iowa Mold Tooling’s EDSC10 crane body mechanics truck. A compact version of the IMT Dominator, the 11-foot crane body EDSC10 is mounted on a Dodge Sprinter chassis and is rated for a 10,000-foot-pound telescopic crane. The EDSC10 has a body weight of just 2,660 pounds. A non-crane body, the EDSS, is available in 9- or 11-foot options.

Convenient features are standard on service truck
Feterl’s Model 5000 service truck features an 11-foot crane body reinforced on the rear side crane cabinet. Fourteen-gauge steel compartments have 12-gauge doors, and a 24-inch heavy duty work bench has a receiver and transverse compartment. Flush-mounted tie downs in the bed floor, a grab handle and a slide in tailgate are standard equipment. A Feterl 6,000-pound crane with feather touch control is an option.

Preupfitted package offers solutions
Knapheide offers two mechanic truck packages – the KMT1, designed for Class 5 trucks, has an 11-foot body and 6,000-pound capacity telescoping crane, and the KMT2 for Class 7 trucks, featuring an 11-foot body with a 10,000-pound capacity telescoping crane. The mechanic body has an isolated crane pedestal design, and the reinforced crane box transfers lift forces into the torsion box subframe and outriggers instead of the side compartments.

Choose your tank configuration with lube truck bed
Sage Oil Vac’s lube truck bed fits Class 7 trucks and has two 120-gallon fresh fluid tanks, two 180-gallon fresh fluid tanks and one 180-gallon used fluid tank. Features include a 1,000-gallon fuel tank with 50-foot hose, a hydraulic pumping system, a 120-pound 50:1 grease system with a 50-foot hose and reel and a 10-gallon drain pan for non-quick connect applications. Roll up doors and 50-foot hoses on spring retractable hose reels are standard on the lube truck bed, as is Sage’s “no pumps” process of vacuuming used fluids.

Service bodies feature heavy-duty construction
Constructed with heavy duty materials, Dakota Bodies’ service bodies feature a 16-gauge galvanneal coated steel exterior, a 12-gauge tread plate floor and 18-gauge galvanneal inner and outer door panels. All doors have double panel construction, and the inner panel is fastened to the outer panel for improved strength and rigidity. The bodies also have automotive style rotary door latches, 18-gauge galvanneal shelving, chain stops on all doors and rubber rolled crown-type fenders.

Service body’s crane offers improved payload capacity, simplified controls
Improve your service truck’s payload capacity with Auto Crane’s articulating crane, made of high-tensile strength steel. The cranes have a lift capacity ranging from 31,800 to 332,700 foot-pounds and are designed for use in confined spaces. Rather than having the crane controls mirror each other, the controls on each side of the crane are identical in their positioning to eliminate confusion.

Body and crane combination offers high capacity, functionality
Stellar’s new T-Max II body features a torsion box understructure, Torq-Isolator crane compartment, 60-inch-high, 22-inch-deep compartments with double panel doors and stainless steel hinges and door handles.
