Customer-driven upgrades for S-Series Oshkosh mixers

Several “real-world” enhancements have been added to Oshkosh Truck’s S-Series front-discharge mixer trucks.

An improved hood with separate stop lights and turn signals has been added, giving the truck more modern styling and enhanced headlight efficiency. Pedestal-to-pedestal covered wiring now increases the overall durability of the truck’s electrical system.

At the same time, the engine compartment’s wire routing has been reorganized and simplified to ease maintenance and diagnostic demands. Air, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning and coolant lines have also been rerouted for better access and a more efficient layout. Steel fuel lines are now used between pedestals, eliminating the need for a fuel cooler, and stainless steel hydraulic tubing is standard between the pedestals to maximize strength and increase durability in harsh working conditions.
