Website Mistake 4: You don’t have a website

When people are curious about you and your capabilities, the easiest thing to do is a Google search. If all that’s there is a online directory listing, it says everything about your location and nothing about your story. “I fought it for a long time, but I was shooting myself in the foot,” Paul Moore, president of the $5 million Moore Corporation, Trussville, Alabama, told us recently. “You need to just suck it up and get it done.” As we said, having a website is basic marketing. If you don’t have one, says Cynthia Paul with industry consultant FMI, it makes you look little, regardless of your size.
