Altec raises prices 4.5 percent

Altec Industries says its raised prices an average of 4.5 percent, effective May, 2012. The company cites “a series of market conditions that have impacted the manufacturing industry” as the primary reason for the increase. These include increases in material and operating costs, commodity demand, and the effects of expanded government regulation on the industry.

The company makes products for the electric utility, telecommunications, contractor, and tree care markets.
