Bobcat has introduced the 323 compact excavator. The machine has two-speed travel motors and a hydraulic system that features a piston pump designed to maintain constant digging forces. With a digging depth of 7 feet 6 inches and a maximum reach of 12 feet 10 inches at ground level, the 323 is able to place spoil farther away from the trench without repositioning the machine. Turf-friendly rubber tracks lower ground pressure to 4.1 psi. The machine has an expanded width of 53 inches and a retracted width of 39 inches. Also new from Bobcat: An advanced hydraulic system on mid-sized compact excavators; Bobcat-brand over-the-tire steel tracks; and a boring attachment for both compact utility loaders and the 463 skid-steer loader.
