Deere, Paccar, JCB donate to tsunami disaster relief efforts

John Deere and Paccar have pledged $1 million each for tsunami relief efforts, while JCB is donating $1 million worth of machines to help in the clean-up operation. Deere’s philanthropic organization, the John Deere Foundation, and Paccar are making their contributions through the American Red Cross. The companies say the funds will be used to support relief, restoration and humanitarian efforts for those affected by the tsunami. JCB machines are being made available through JCB India and through the company’s dealers in the region. JCB says the machines will help the hundreds of thousands of people who have been left homeless rebuild their lives.
