Efficiently compact granular and cohesive soils with BOMAG’s BW211-50 Series of single-drum vibratory rollers, which includes the BW211D-50 smooth drum roller and the BW211PD-50 padfoot roller. Powered by a Tier 4 Interim 120-horsepower Deutz diesel engine, the rollers feature ECOMODE, a fuel conservation system.
The rollers deliver frequencies of 1,800 and 1,980 vibrations per minute across an 84-inch operating width. The BW211D-50 generates 53,100 and 32,141 pounds of centrifugal force in high and low amplitude, respectively, and the BW211PD-50 delivers 61,825 and 37,434 pounds of centrifugal force.
The series features a 12-degree oscillating angle and 35-degree steering angle for maneuverability on the jobsite, and a single lever control manages travel and vibration modes. The rollers offer 47 percent max gradeability with and without vibration. Heavy duty 12-ply tires and a rear axle with no-spin differential deliver traction in difficult conditions.
The BW211-50 Series features a vertically opening polymer hood for quick access to the engine, hydraulics and service points. Daily grease requirements are eliminated via maintenance-free components, and strategic air intake placement ensures increased filter life and reduced noise levels.
Controls are positioned with operator comfort in mind, and the vibration-isolated operator’s platform provides both comfort and clear sight lines for all-around visibility. An ergonomically placed integrated instrumentation cluster includes audible and visual indicators for items such as oil pressure, engine coolant level, brake control, electrical charge control and hydraulic oil level.
Options for the series include compaction measurement and control systems; front and rear working lights; padfoot or smooth drum segment kits; front frame or diamond tread rear tire ballasts; ROPS cab with heating, air conditioning, swivel comfort seat, CD radio with auxiliary input, rotary beacon and special paint; and speedometer, voltmeter, frequency and tachometer gauges.
