Legacy Power Wagon1

The beast you see above may look a lot like the classic 1946 Dodge Power Wagon, but there are a lot of updates beneath the hood that, according to the guys who handcraft each of these, make it “the toughest truck that money can buy.” The folks at Legacy, a restoration shop in Wyoming, take the body of a Power Wagon and infuse it with the modern power of either a 425-horsepower V8 engine or a 3.9-liter Cummins Turbo-Diesel. You can also choose between 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions as well as three wheel/tire configurations. A 4-door body is available as well. With prices ranging between $120,000 and $170,000 these trucks cost a pretty penny, but at least you get a modern interior too, complete with air conditioning, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes and a custom dash and control panel. All things our friends back in 1946 would have loved.
