Ever wonder just how strong the guy who plays The Mountain in the HBO series Game of Thrones is? Apparently strong enough to stop the giant Cat D10T in its tracks.
Now, while this latest installment in Cat’s Built For It trials is certainly more storybook than field test, we do see strongman Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson’s (Thor, for short) strength on full display at the beginning of the video when he is able to go toe-to-toe with this 600-horsepower, 77-ton beast.
Unfortunately, he can’t get it done on his own. And really, isn’t that just how life goes? Sometimes, while attempting to win an Icelandic tug of war against a massive bulldozer, despite your massive frame and an inhuman amount of physical strength, you need a little help from your friends.
Thankfully, as night turns to day, Thor has about 100 people cheering him on who are willing to help out.
But lo! The struggle is not yet won. That is, until a little girl (the chosen one foretold long ago, perhaps?) adds her strength to the front of the line and helps Thor win the day. It’s all a bit insane, yet if you don’t get goosebumps watching it, you are not wired correctly. Enjoy.
