Kubota gave us a sneak peak of its new KX030-4 compact excavator for the U.S. market back in October. Now, we've got the full walkaround view and details from the excavator’s official launch January 18 at World of Concrete.

In the video above, Bill Holton, Kubota product manager for construction equipment, outlines the new features on the KX030-4, which will replace the KX71-3S.

Those features include larger cab and touchscreen, auto-downshift, toolbox underneath the door, dozer blade with float, and a diverter valve for easier switching of attachments.

Kubota also made the front glass window easy to open and added such operator comfort features as more foot and leg room, a two-speed travel switch on the dozer lever, cup holder, wrist rest and a standard high-back suspension seat.

The 3-ton, 24-horsepower excavator has been released in Europe and in Canada and is scheduled to hit U.S. dealerships next summer. It will be available with canopy or cab.
