With a design that incorporates a combination of hardened and structural steel, extra thick and longer shanks, and five generations of iterative improvements, TRK Attachments says its Severe Duty Scoop Rakes reduce maintenance and allow operators to handle larger loads of material.

Designed for 8- to 60-ton excavators, the company says the angled cutting edge on these scoop rakes slices through roots and provides deeper ground penetration than competing models.

TRK says it offers the thickest shanks in the industry for rakes, negating the need for gussets. The result is a freer flow of material between the shanks.

“It’s the small details that make a quality product,” says TRK owner Thomas Knapp. “Our customers come to us again and again because they know we take pride in what we manufacture, something a lot of our competitors have forgotten about.”

The rakes are available in 36- to 84-inch widths and are hand made in North America. A standard root rake shape is also available.
