POLL: What do you think of Cat’s new half excavator, half skid steer 304.5E2?

Caterpillar recently launched a new type of excavator it’s referring to as an Xtra Tool Carrier, a compact, 4-ton machine with a skid steer interface where the dozer blade is typically located.

Started as a garage project rather than as a specific request from customers, Cat envisions several useful applications for the new 304.5E2, saying that its ability to couple to buckets, forks, blades, brooms rakes and trenchers should bring operators a new level of multitasking.
