Everyone can benefit from having a good knife handy at all times, and that obviously goes double for those in the construction industry. So, we can’t think of a much more useful Christmas gift than a great Everyday Carry knife.

Obviously there are lots of knives out there and you may even have a favorite brand of your own. But in our research there were three brands we saw highly recommended both on review sites and Amazon: Spyderco, Kershaw and CRKT. So we’ve listed four here for you to choose from across three different budget levels.

Spyderco Sage 3

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line EDC knife, you can’t go wrong with the Spyderco Sage 3, pictured at the top. Priced at around $128 on Amazon the Sage 3 features a carbon fiber handle with a blade made from S30V steel. This is a really high quality steel that stays sharp longer.

Down a level in pricing, but still a very good EDC is the Kershaw Ken Onion Blur. It features an aluminum handle with a 3-3/8-inch 14C28N steel blade. It’s priced at $62 on Amazon.

Kershaw CryoKershaw Cryo

Kershaw Cryo

The Kershaw Cryo is our top budget pick, priced near $27 on Amazon. This is a sleek and light knife with a fast-action blade.

CRKT DrifterCRKT Drifter

CRKT Drifter Titanium

Our final budget pick is from Columbia River Knife and Tool and features a great 3-inch blade. It’s a bit more compact than the other picks and therefore a bit more pocketable. It’s priced at $22 on Amazon.
