Offering power ratings from 41 to 74 horsepower, John Deere Power Systems’ new PowerTech 2.9-liter generator-drive engines feature a robust design with mechanical fuel injection pumps and heavy duty, replaceable wet cylinder liners.
The Tier IV Interim and Tier IV Final engines deliver fuel through a high pressure (23,000 psi) common rail fuel system. Exhaust emissions are handled by diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) and diesel particulate filters (DPFs).
The models include:
- PowerTech 3029HFG03: Tier IV Final, 48 to 74 hp at 1,800 rpm
- PowerTech 3029HFG89 Tier IV Interim: 62 hp at 1,800 rpm and 58 hp at 1,500 rpm
- PowerTech 3029TFG89 Tier IV Interim: 47 hp (35 kW) at 1,800 rpm and 42 hp (31 kW) at 1,500 rpm
