Honda GXR120 Rammer EngineAt World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Honda launched a new GXR120 general purpose engine designed specifically to power rammers.

Offered as a second power option to the GX100 engine, the GXR120 has a displacement of 121 cc, enabling the engine to power 110- to 175-pound rammers.

The engine has a special cast-iron cylinder sleeve and high carbon-steel dual-ball bearing crankshaft that provides improved engine strength for rammer applications. The recoil starter and fan cover also have steel incorporated into the design for additional strength.

Additional features include an Overhead Camshaft orientation; a maintenance-free, low-noise timing belt; a newly designed compact muffler that reduces operation noise by 1 dB compared to the previous engine; a heavy-duty recoil starter and an Oil Alert feature that prevents the engine from starting if the oil level is too low.
