Last week, Chrysler announced that later this year it will begin offering a half-ton pickup with a diesel option in the 2014 Ram 1500. This Ram will offer a new, 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine, with the 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. It’s a move that truck owners have been asking automakers for for years and it seems it will go a long way in giving the Ram brand some added momentum.
